Process & Method: Defining the Underlying Structure

At the heart of my practice is a search to define, reconstruct, and express the underlying patterns of the world around me. Whether investigating a physical object, the complexities of social behaviour, or the essence of a life form, my work seeks to map the hidden blueprints of existence.

The Alchemy of Painting

While my inquiry is analytical, the resolution is always tactile. I believe that the physical act of painting is the most profound way to convey these discoveries. Through process-led painting, I translate raw observation into a tangible visual language, allowing the medium to bridge the gap between abstract theory and formal expression.

Influence and Inspiration

My work lives at the intersection of the digital and the contemplative. Internet culture serves as a primary source of influence, providing a vast landscape of imagery and social data that informs my subject matter. This modern influence is filtered through a lens of:

  • Philosophical Inquiry: Questioning the structures that govern our digital and physical realities.
  • Meditative Introspection: Using the studio process to find stillness within a high-velocity information age.
  • Hybrid Imagery: A seamless blend of abstract and figurative elements that mirror the complexity of contemporary life.

The Convergence of Form

By synthesizing these influences, my paintings become an exploration of “the seen and the sensed.” I aim to create work that invites the viewer into a state of deep looking, where the patterns of our modern world are decoded and redefined through color, texture, and form.

“In creating Circles and Rings, Kipades utilized a traditional oil on canvas layering technique to explore the physical interaction between geometric precision and organic texture. Spanning 107cm x 102cm, the piece was developed over several days, focusing on expressive brush work in wet paint and blending capabilities only possible with high-quality oil pigments. The result is a tactile exploration of circular forms that shifts in depth and colour under different lighting conditions.” Price on request via Instagram DM.

The Interstellar Narrative

A small body of work that explores the intersection of celestial mystery and forensic inquiry, sparked by the interstellar visitor announced by astronomers on July 1st, 2025. As an artist driven by the reconstruction of underlying patterns, this event provided a profound new catalyst for my practice.

Bridging Science and Speculation

The question of life beyond our solar system often divides researchers into two camps: rigid science and speculative conspiracy. My work intentionally inhabits the space between them. By translating scientifically verifiable anomaliesinto large-scale paintings, I challenge the viewer to confront the “undefined.”

  • Medium: Digital data extraction translated into contemporary painting.
  • Thematic Focus: Redefining the boundary between reality and imagination.
  • Core Inquiry: The tension between known astrophysics and the intuitive perception of mysterious patterns.

A Psycho-Spiritual Exploration

Beyond the technical data, these paintings represent a personal, psycho-spiritual process. I delve into the repeating surface patterns and underlying structures of the object, using the canvas to synthesize complex celestial data with intuitive artistic expression. This work serves as a portal into the unknown, hinting at a reality that is as mysterious as it is mathematically present.

MASSACRE OF THE PAINT TUBES’ solo show of new work (18 July to 10 August 2024)

The Intersection of Art, Gaza, and Political Abstraction

Driven by the profound emotional weight of the post-October 7th conflict in Gaza, this body of contemporary work investigates the critical intersection of political tragedy and formal abstraction. By examining the humanitarian crisis through a creative lens, the exhibition explores how art serves as a vehicle for processing systemic violence and political impunity.

Artistic Influence: From Philip Guston to Modern Inquiry

Taking cues from Philip Guston’s iconic navigation of social horror and the Ku Klux Klan, these paintings explore the tension between the “how” of the medium and the “what” of the subject. This study in figurative abstraction seeks to understand how the physical application of paint can supersede literal representation, transforming trauma into a visceral, tactile experience.

Navigating Ambiguity and Shared Humanity

The core challenge of this collection lies in the artistic resolution: balancing objective observation against subjective emotion. By stripping away overt political signifiers and leaning into visual ambiguity, these works aim to depoliticize the subject matter. The goal is to transform the canvas into a site of inquiry rather than a rigid ideological statement.

In a time of global discord, this art exhibition is a conscious attempt to move through the emotional impact of war toward a shared recognition of our common humanity. These canvases serve as a “torch” to navigate the vastness of our current uncertainty, seeking a path toward universal empathy and peace.

Contrary opinion persists with claim and proof that the IDF evidence has been tampered with.
